The theme of this event is “Learning to See in the Dark: Opening to Mystical Hope in a Collective Dark Night.” I think pretty much everyone agrees that we are living in times that are challenging: politically, economically, technologically, and yes, spiritually. But the mystical traditions of Christianity and the other sacred paths of the world offer us powerful and practical wisdom for navigating times like ours. This weekend even features a variety of voices and perspectives as we all ponder this question: how do I learn to see — to pray, to be — in the dark, even when it feels like a “dark night”?
My talk, building off of the Summit’s main theme is “Entering the Cloud of Unknowing: Befriending the Darkness in Centering Prayer.” And while my talk (and the Summit) is focussed on the practice of Centering Prayer, I believe the themes, values and practical wisdom that we will be sharing at this Summit will be helpful for all spiritual seekers, regardless of which method(s) of contemplative practice you prefer.
All the events will be recorded, so you can count on being able to enjoy the teachings from this Summit even if you are unable to attend in person. Any one of the programs offered at this Summit is worth the entire price of admission — it’s like you’ll be getting eight amazing deep dives into the contemplative wisdom of our time, for the price of one!
Early bird pricing is available only until December 31, so register now! Click here: https://www.centeringprayersummit.com/referral/CPS2026/3cjCevmHrTHV23Or
I love these events because they have the feel of a true “gathering of the tribes” as contemplative teachers, practitioners and seekers from all around the world join together for a shared weekend of prayer, meditation and reflection. I’m so honored to be part of this — I hope you’ll join in on the wisdom and the fun!
